Before creating my own website, I decided to get inspiration from others. I found some attractive sites that helped me build my personal page.
Audrey Hu, that was the first website that caught my attention.
She is a fashion stylist based in Shanghai. She worked as a Fashion E Editor at Numero China and Modern Weekly China. Still, she decided to become a freelancer and contributed to T Magazine China, i-D China and recently i-D UK.
Her home page is clear and straightforward, with some photo that she made in the centre. You can see her work by clicking the menu. Hui doesn't have about page, but she included all the information on her contact page. However, I think it is a quite hard following, and her writing is not very informative. I like the layout of the images she made.
The other fashion website that I really like is SHOWstudio.
Stephen Doherty practices many fields of art and fashion, such as drawing, painting and graphic design. It is distinguished by clear lines that give a specific and recognisable style.
Stephen is the regular visitor in Central Saint Martins and a contributor to SHOWstudio and 10Magazine.
The website is very transparent and easy to use. Each work has a description, i.e. name and style. There is also an online store on the left side where you can buy and image or art.
You can also follow him on Instagram and be up to date. The Instagram reference is also on the home page.
Maybe it is not a lot of information on his site, but I think that I found everything that I need.
I think that I will be inspired by these two people to create my own website, which will also be transparent and easy to use.
Again you really needed to discuss technically the user experience and the design and how this has informed your own work
